Here is What Police Know of the San Pedro Double Murder
Police say they are pursuing multiple leads in the San Pedro Town brazen attack that occurred on Sunday night. According to ACP Hilberto Romero, Head of the National Crimes Investigation Branch, four armed men stormed Island Supermarket. They opened fire on four other men, including David Harmouch, Iman Harmouch, Ahmad Harmouch, and Daniel Jones.
David and Jones were killed at the scene. Iman and the store’s owner, Ahmad, sustained gunshot injuries and were taken across the border for treatment.
“The information is that all four male persons were at Island Supermarket when four male persons arrived at the supermarket armed with firearms who fired several shots towards their direction, causing the fatal injuries to two and the injuries to the other two,” Romero said.
Romero added that the attackers fled the scene after boarding a vessel that “headed south of the island”. Nothing was stolen from the supermarket.
He confirmed that police have “several persons” in custody and that investigators are working to obtain surveillance footage. Romero said police are also examining Harmouch’s pending civil court matters, saying, “I know he has some matters in civil court. That is an angle we are pursuing.”
David leaves behind six children. His youngest is six months old, while his oldest is twelve.
