Dangriga Murder Suspects Charged: Victim Provided Identity

The arrest came swiftly, but for the family of sixteen-year-old Isaiah Norales, it only confirms what they believed from the very beginning. Tonight, police report that two suspects have been charged in connection with the Dangriga teenager’s murder, including twenty-five-year-old Naheem Bonilla and a seventeen-year-old minor. The charges come just days after Isaiah was gunned down early Sunday morning. Before those arrests were made, his grieving relatives told News Five they were convinced investigators already knew who was responsible, claiming Isaiah had identified his attackers before he died. Here’s part of that conversation.

“Everybody have the, get the different version of Isaiah. What I get was somebody very loving. He’s very open. He share everything with me. He was able to tell me everything, so I believe we will get justice.”

“Did he ever mention that his life was in danger or anything to you?”

“No, never.”

“The family is aware of who are the individuals responsible?”

Sharwell Makin

“Yes, we are aware. He was able to say that who so the police have that information, and we’re just hoping for justice. We just want justice. We don’t want nothing else, just justice.”

Norales identified his attackers from his hospital bed. This type of evidence was instrumental in the recently concluded Elmer Nah murder trial. The main evidence in court was a statement taken from Vivian Ramnarace on her hospital bed in which she identified the shooter. She died days after being shot; unfortunately, Isaiah only hung on for a few hours on Sunday.
