Six Charged in Crack Cocaine Busts
Police have arrested and charged six individuals in connection with a series of anti-drug operations carried out across the country over the past week, according to Assistant Superintendent of Police Stacy Smith.
Authorities say the individuals are accused of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply.
Among those charged is Eddy Hernandez, who police allege was found with 4.6 grams of cocaine. Joshua Burns of Cotton Tree Village was reportedly charged in connection with 2.8 grams of cocaine.
In San Pedro, Stephan Hyde and Giany Wade were each charged after police allegedly discovered 2.8 grams of cocaine. Meanwhile, Gilriam Mejia faces two counts of drug trafficking relating to 1.25 grams and 5.5 grams of crack cocaine.
Police also charged Burton Godoy of Belize City with two counts of possession with intent to supply after allegedly finding 28 grams of cocaine and 90.9 grams of crack cocaine in his possession.
